Nashua man sentenced for molesting young girl

A city man convicted of molesting a young girl was sentenced Monday to serve at least two years in prison. Michael Green, 52, formerly of 62 Coburn Woods, had been jailed since April 17, when he was convicted of a single count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and Judge William Groff revoked his bail. On Monday, Groff sentenced Green to two to six years in the State Prison, more than the 12 months suggested by Green’s lawyer, and fewer than the four to 20 years recommended by the prosecution. Green was convicted of molesting a girl in 2007, when she was either 9 or 10 years old. Groff recommended that Green complete the sex offender treatment program, if possible, within his two-year minimum term, and the law requires that Green must register as a sex offender. – ANDREW WOLFE
