SHARON - A Milford man died of injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle accident Saturday night. Peterborough police said Christopher Sackos, of Milford, died after his SUV hit a tree in Sharon. According to police, Sackos, 42, was driving a 1995 Ford Bronco west on Route 124 shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, when the vehicle went off the road and hit the tree. He was pronounced dead at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough. The crash remains under investigation, police said Monday. Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard said police haven’t determined if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors, or whether Sackos was wearing a seat belt when his vehicle crashed. “We are just beginning our investigation,” he said, “and still securing evidence.” Sackos lived alone at 103 Elm St., Milford, said the chief, and police were having difficulty finding family to notify. A man who identified himself as Sackos’ brother declined to speak to a reporter, when approached Monday afternoon outside 103 Elm St. Edit ModuleShow Tags
