Man serving time sentenced for pot
NASHUA - A Hudson man already serving prison time for shooting his brother-in-law, received a suspended sentence for a marijuana possession crime. Roger Leveille pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of marijuana and received a suspended 12-month prison sentence from a Hillsborough County Superior Court judge. The charge stemmed from when Leveille was pulled over by Nashua police and was found to have the drug in his vehicle. Leveille was sentenced in May to five to 10 years in prison for shooting his brother-in-law in the neck outside their shared Hudson duplex in February 2008 after the two had fought. In 2008, the county had cut a plea deal with Leveille on the marijuana charge, but the arrangement was dropped after a Nashua District Court judge dropped the first-degree assault charge from the shooting. The county later reintroduced the assault charge to a grand jury.
