Tri-City Expo set for Sept. 20
The 24th annual Tri-City Expo - a business-to-business trade show and networking event - will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Center of New Hampshire-Radisson Hotel in Manchester.
A joint effort of the Greater Concord, Greater Manchester and Greater Nashua chambers of commerce, the event offers an opportunity that's becoming increasingly rare in a world dominated by social media, texts and tweets: face-to-face networking. Attendees get a chance to meet potential business partners, educate themselves about the latest marketing practices and reconnect with clients past and present.
It's a venue that's been an NHBR Best of Business Award winner as the best event in New Hampshire for networking opportunities and personal interaction. Each year, over 2,000 businesspeople visit the more than 200 exhibitors at Tri-City.
As they have in the past, organizers of the Tri-City Expo will be offering a workshop designed to help participants prepare for their attendance and make the most of their experience at the show. From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Webster Room at the Expo Center, Armand Hebert of the Referral Institute will present, "Is Your Handshake Working for You or Against You?" an interactive pre-expo breakout session focused on the importance of understanding other people while networking, and how to use these tools in reading body language of others and match yours with it. (For more information about the pre-expo session, call Julie Picard at 603-792-4106.)
Heading up the event's sponsors this year are Centrix Bank and Public Service of New Hampshire.
