SNHU seeks entrepreneurial ideas for 7th annual business challenge

The winning business plan will receive $5,000 from the Tory C. Marandos Foundation

Entrepreneurs with exemplary business ideas are invited to participate in the 7th Annual Tory C. Marandos Entrepreneurship Challenge administered by Southern New Hampshire University.

Eligible participants include all active and start-up businesses in New Hampshire, with less than three years in business, as well as entrepreneurs in the state who have not yet started a business but have an idea. The winning business plan will receive $5,000 from the Tory C. Marandos Foundation.

“Entrepreneurship is at the heart of everything we do at Southern New Hampshire University – it’s part of our DNA,” said Don Brezinski, SNHU Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement. “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue our partnership with the Marandos family to offer this opportunity to showcase some of the best and brightest business ideas in the state.”

Applicants must submit a two-page business concept paper by Friday, Feb. 16. Submissions must be in PDF format and sent directly to After the deadline, a team of judges will choose ten semi-finalists, who will attend a three-hour business plan training prior to submitting their final business plan. Five finalists will then move on to the final competition on April 14, which will be followed by an awards ceremony.

The competition is named after the late entrepreneur Tory Marandos. Tony was an enterprising and caring young man who went above and beyond for his friends, family and anyone who came into his life.
