Sub shop workers accused of theft

Two employees each skimmed over $1,000 from Danelly's Subs and Pizza, police claim. Sheila Gionet and Rodney Maulding, both 22, were arrested Monday afternoon, police said Tuesday. Each faces a felony theft charge, alleging that they stole just more than $1,000 from the business at 87 Allds St. Danelly's owner had called police to report the theft and his suspicions about the two employees earlier that day, police said. Both Gionet and Maulding live at 5 Stevens Ave., but police had no information on the nature of their relationship, if any, Detective Lt. George McCarthy said. Both worked at the restaurant and were in charge of the cash register at different times, McCarthy said. They both were held after their arrests and arraigned Tuesday in Nashua District Court, he said. The theft charges against them carry a maximum of 7-1/2 to 15 years in prison, though typically sentences are lower. - ANDREW WOLFE Edit ModuleShow Tags
