Nashuan accused of driving drunk
A Nashua woman was arrested Monday for allegedly driving drunk and leading police on a brief, slow-speed pursuit. Meredith King, 51, of 188 Concord St., is charged with operating under the influence of liquor, disobeying an officer, operating with a suspended license and resisting arrest, according to police. All of the charges are misdemeanors, according to Merrimack police Lt. Dan Edmonds. King was stopped around 11 a.m. Monday, when a Merrimack officer saw her drifting over the lanes on Daniel Webster Highway near Village Mall, police said. King agreed to undergo sobriety tests but then drove away heading south, leading police on a slow-speed pursuit. Moments later she pulled over and was taken into custody, police said. She was held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections on $10,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at Merrimack District Court, police said.
