Store clerk charged with theft
NASHUA- A clerk at JC Penney is accused of pilfering cash from his register, police said. Allen Pennell, 27, of 64 Melendy Road in Hudson, was arrested Wednesday on a felony theft charge, punishable by up to 7½ to 15 years in prison. Pennell allegedly admitted to stealing about $2,500 from the south Nashua store, where he had worked for about two months, police said. He is accused of taking the money a bit at a time over the course of his employment.
