North American Equipment Upfitters Inc., which began operation in 1999 and is located at 6 Sutton Circle Hooksett, N.H., builds aerial lifts - otherwise known as "bucket trucks" - and fire apparatus for clients throughout New England and New York. Our headquarters is located on 48 acres with a 35,000-square-foot facility and 26 service bays. In addition, we maintain locations in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Colebrook. N.H., and Syracuse, N.Y. We maintain 10 factory-certified road service technicians that provide 24-hour emergency service, ANSI inspections, dielectric testing and maintenance of your equipment.NAEU is one of the largest distributors of BrandFX fiberglass service/utility bodies and SpaceKap fiberglass inserts. Fiberglass is an excellent solution in the Northeast to combat the rust and salt conditions. It is also light in weight, typically 400 pounds less than steel, which improves your gas mileage. Unlike rusted steel bodies, fiberglass bodies can be transferred to your next truck reducing your overall investment.NAEU has a full fiberglass repair department that specializes in re-glassing booms, bucket repair and service/utility body repairs. NAEU also maintains a full paint shop and can refurbish and remount your old equipment, provide transfer of equipment to a new chassis or paint to match corporate image. In 2002 NAEU introduced a new hydraulic fluid to the industry that is canola-based and biodegradable in 28 days. The introduction and acceptance by the industry has reduced the negative impact of petroleum-based hydraulic fluids throughout New England and New York. Northeast Utilities, PSNH, FairPoint Communications, TDS Telecom, Verizon Communications, Cox Cable, Time Warner Cable, RCN and many other companies have made canola-based hydraulics standard in their operations. We plan to introduce the biodegradable hydraulic oil to ski areas, dams and windmills that have the potential to contaminate their environment. The Terresolve oils will not support a flame and can reduce fires in windmill operations that are often located in remote forested areas. In 2009 NAEU became a distributor for Auto Crane. The addition of this crane line fits with the hydraulic capability of our company as many of our existing customers also purchase cranes.NAEU has been selected by DiversityBusiness.com as a leader for the past eight years. In 2010 we earned the #5 rank for Woman-Owned Businesses in New Hampshire, #7 for Diversity-Owned and #45 for privately held businesses compared to some top 50 companies selected. NAEU has also received five Inc. Magazine awards for the Top 5000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. In 2010, NAEU also received two special orders from Verizon Communications in response to President Barack Obama's Clean Fleets Partnership program. The first project was to convert gasoline engines on Ford E350 vans to run on compressed natural gas, or CNG. Partnering with BAF, a clean energy manufacturer, NAEU converted 148 E350 vans to the new fuel. The vans were part of the more than 270 alternative-energy trucks and vans that Verizon added to the New York fleet, put forth by the Obama administration. The second project involved providing a DC drive solution for the electrical requirements of an aerial bucket truck mounted on an F550 diesel chassis. The aerial, lighting and air conditioning unit all run off a lithium ion battery bank. The system was designed by Fleet Electric to provide continuous DC power without the engine running, helping to conserve fuel and reduce emissions.North American Equipment is committed to be the leader in the aerial industry in alternative energy solutions. We continue to support our customers and the National Clean Fleets Partnership. North American Equipment Upfitters 6 Sutton Circle, Hooksett, NH 603.624.6288 www.naeuinc.com mdunican@naeuinc.com
