A young man with ties to Nashua and Hudson is wanted in connection with a shooting Saturday in Derry, police in that town reported Tuesday. Brendan Sanderson, 22, of no fixed address, is wanted on first-degree assault charges in connection with a shooting Saturday afternoon at 10 Emerald Drive. Anthony Barth, 17, of that address, remains stable after having been treated for gunshot wounds to his chest and leg, police report. Police believe Barth was acquainted with Sanderson, and the shooting followed a dispute between them. Sanderson is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a thin build and short blonde hair. He has lived previously at 3 Hartford Lane and 27 Congress St. in Nashua, and also has been known to frequent Salem, Derry police said. Police believe he is likely in the company of his girlfriend, Chelsie Ruiter, 19, of Hudson, who is not suspected of any involvement in the shooting. They may be traveling in one of Sanderson's vehicles, a white 1998 Acura CL with New Hampshire plate 276-6184 or a gold, 1997 Nissan Maxima, 240-9789. Anyone with information on Sanderson or Ruiter's whereabouts is asked to contact the Derry Police Department at 432-6111 or local police.
